JOSEPH LEMAY

I ordered 11.5 because they didn't have an 11, which I didn't think would be a problem, but the heel sliced into the interior of my WinTech Cobra 1x hull and left a little smile there in the carbon. There is no left-and-right play, like Bont shoes have, for adjustment, so I cannot move them. I could put them higher on my foot plate, but that would change my gearing, which I don't want to do. Waste of money for me.

Hi Joseph,

As we mentioned in our reply to your email the other day, different shoes from different manufacturers often times require some form of adjustment during installation in order to fit the new shoes properly into the boat. No two manufacturers are exactly the same when it comes to shoes, so an 11.5 from one manufacturer may fit your foot just as well as the 11 you originally had. However, the shoe may sit lower on the foot stretcher because the hole positioning on the bottom of the shoe is slightly is different from the previous pair. It is strongly recommended to check the clearance between the shoe and the bottom of the footwell when installing new shoes to prevent damage like this from happening. Again, as we mentioned in our reply the other day, we are more than happy to assist you in making those adjustments, as well as to answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to respond to our email or reach out via the information below. Thanks again!
