Head of the Charles 2026

The 2026 Head of the Charles Regatta delivered another extraordinary weekend of racing on the Charles River, with WinTech Racing and King Racing crews producing exceptional performances across youth, collegiate, club, masters, and para rowing.

From historic first-time victories to remarkable winning streaks, athletes racing in WinTech and King shells demonstrated what happens when exceptional athletes, dedicated coaches, and world-class equipment come together.

With 38 top-five performances, it was a weekend worth celebrating for the entire WinTech and King Racing family.

FIVE STRAIGHT: ROWAMERICA RYE CONTINUES ITS DOMINANCE

Some winning streaks are impressive. Others become part of the history of the sport.

RowAmerica Rye has now captured its fifth consecutive Women's Youth Eight victory at the Head of the Charles, racing in a King SE 8+.

Five years. Five victories. One remarkable standard of excellence.

And the success didn't end there.

RowAmerica Rye also secured its third consecutive Women's U17 Eight victory, again racing in a King SE 8+, reinforcing the program's extraordinary depth and consistency.

The club's remarkable weekend extended into the smaller boats, with its Men's Under-17 Fours delivering both gold and silver aboard WinTech International shells, while the Women's Youth Four added another silver medal in a WinTech International.

Four wins and podium performances across multiple categories reflect the strength of one of the country's leading youth rowing programs.

Congratulations to the athletes, coaches, and entire RowAmerica Rye organization for continuing to raise the bar.

A HISTORIC FIRST FOR BOSTON UNIVERSITY

One of the most exciting stories of the weekend came from Boston University's Women's Lightweight Four.

Racing in a WinTech Cobra, the Terriers captured gold in the Women's Lightweight Fours, marking the first victory in the event in the program's history.

It's a milestone built on hard work, commitment, and belief—and exactly the kind of achievement that makes the Head of the Charles so special.

We're incredibly proud to see WinTech equipment playing a part in this historic moment for Boston University.

BEYOND THE PODIUM: DEPTH THROUGHOUT THE FIELD

While gold medals grab the headlines, the depth of the results tells an equally important story.

Beyond the 28 gold, silver, and bronze finishes, WinTech and King Racing crews recorded another 10 fourth- and fifth-place results, placing athletes among the fastest competitors in their respective fields.

Strong performances from programs including Founders, Saugatuck, Cambridge BC, Trinity, Kent School, Oak Neck, Catalyst Racing, Reaux Dat, and Endeavor RA added to an impressive weekend.

These performances reflect what matters most to us: providing equipment that helps athletes and programs compete at their very best, whatever their level or experience.

To every crew that raced our equipment, whether you stood on the podium or challenged yourself against the world's best, thank you for trusting WinTech and King Racing.

Your dedication is what drives us to continue improving and innovating.

MORE THAN RACING: CELEBRATING THE ROWING COMMUNITY

The Head of the Charles has always been about more than racing. It's a celebration of the rowing community—a chance to reconnect with old friends, make new ones, share ideas, and celebrate everything that makes our sport so special.

This year, our presence in Boston was made even more memorable by the incredible partners and organizations who joined us throughout the weekend.

A huge thank you to AllMarkOne, MV2, Concept2, Crew Connection, Nathan Benderson Park, JRN, and Zhik.

Your creativity, energy, collaboration, and shared passion for rowing helped make this year's Head of the Charles a tremendous success.

From the excitement around our tent to the conversations, interviews, and connections made throughout the weekend, we're grateful to work alongside organizations dedicated to growing and celebrating the sport.

THANK YOU, BOSTON. SEE YOU NEXT YEAR.

To the coaches who trust us, the athletes who race our shells, the programs that continue to push the boundaries of performance, and everyone who stopped by to see us—thank you.

The 2026 Head of the Charles reminded us once again why we love this sport: the tradition, the competition, the friendships, and the relentless pursuit of speed.

We leave Boston inspired, grateful, and already looking forward to what comes next.
