Henley Royal Regatta 2026 will be remembered as a landmark week for WinTech and King, with crews racing in WinTech and King hulls winning races on every day from the opening Tuesday heats through to Sunday's finals. The week culminated in one of the most satisfying results in recent memory: Molesey Boat Club claiming The Danesfield Challenge Cup in a WinTech Cobra FLX.

The Danesfield is a new addition to the Henley Royal Regatta programme, and to win an inaugural event at the world's most iconic Regatta carries an enormous amount of added significance. There will always be only one first winner of The Danesfield Challenge Cup, and Molesey's name is now etched into the Regatta's history. Their defeat of a talented Leander Club crew further emphasises the impressive rise of the programme under Sam Tuck and Ellie Stevens.

Elsewhere, Friday's racing set the tone for a busy weekend. Oxford Brookes University (WinTech Cobra) opened their Prince of Wales Challenge Cup campaign with a convincing win over A.A.S.R. Skøll of the Netherlands, beginning what would become a strong run through the draw. 

Chicago Rowing Foundation (King SE) won their Princess Philip Challenge Trophy heat, and in one of the day's most notable races, RowAmerica Rye of the USA (WinTech Vapor) defeated Green Lake Crew, also of the USA (WinTech International), in an all-WinTech and all-US Princess Philip heat.

Sir William Borlase's Grammar School (WinTech Cobra FLX) won their Fawley Challenge Cup contest against Windsor Boys' School (WinTech Cobra SE FLX) in another all-WinTech contest, edging out the national champions by just a canvas. Among Friday's exits were Titterington and Maxwell (WinTech Cobra SE) in The Stonor Challenge Trophy, Molesey Boat Club (WinTech Cobra FLX) in The Princess of Wales Challenge Cup, Belen Jesuit Preparatory School A (WinTech Cobra) in The Fawley Challenge Cup, and Maidenhead Rowing Club (WinTech Cobra) in The Diamond Jubilee Challenge Cup.

Saturday and semifinals day saw Molesey Boat Club (WinTech Cobra FLX) move serenely into the Danesfield final, while Oxford Brookes University (WinTech Cobra) fell to Leander Club in The Prince of Wales Challenge Cup.

Sir William Borlase's Grammar School (WinTech Cobra FLX) bowed out of The Fawley Challenge Cup at the semifinal stage, and Chicago Rowing Foundation (King SE) and RowAmerica Rye (King Vapor) were eliminated from The Prince Philip Challenge Trophy, having both reached that stage in their respective King hulls. First and second at the USRowing Youth National Championships, appearing at Henley Royal Regatta rounded off a fantastic season for these two programmes.
