Henley Women's Regatta 2025

Henley Women's Regatta 2025

Henley Women's Regatta 2025

Team WinTech began the Henley series in style with a series of excellent performances at Henley Women’s Regatta, recording two overall victories and placing six crews in semifinals. On a blisteringly hot weekend, racing was in full flow from time trials on the Friday through to Sunday’s finals. As the wind picked up on the last afternoon of racing, crews took to the water to compete for top honours and a new generation of Henley Women’s Regatta winners were born on this historic piece of water.

Our first victory of the day came in the Aspirational Single, via the prodigious talents of Hansine Marshall of St Andrew’s University Boat Club. New to the sport in September, she has taken the rowing world by storm and completed a magnificent season by winning the Bernard & Pauline Churcher Cup.

Our second win came in the following race. Leicester Rowing Club collected the Rosie Mayglothling Trophy for Aspirational Double Sculls in impressive fashion, seeing off a fast-starting outfit from K S R V Njord of the Netherlands. Racing in a WinTech, the duo sculled away in the second half to win by five seconds.

Samantha-Louise Gough held the title for the PR3 single but lost out in 2025, falling to the young sculler from Rob Roy. She did, however, race in a WinTech and did exceptionally well to progress to the final for a second consecutive year in a field stacked with quality athletes.

We also had crews compete in semifinals for other events. In the Haslam Trophy for championship lightweight double sculls, the Derby Rowing Club/Nottinghamshire County Rowing Association crew were knocked out by a classy boat from the Australian National University Boat Club. In the Rayner Cup for junior doubles, Royal Grammar School Worcester were defeated by Walton Rowing Club in an intense tussle to the line. Finally, Marlow Rowing Club were beaten by Surbiton High School in the second semifinal for the Groton School Challenge Cup for junior coxed fours. Having also made the final in the Bea Langridge Trophy for junior quads for the second successive year, this is another feather in the cap of Pete Chambers’ ever-expanding programme.

With Henley Women’s Regatta over for another year, all eyes now turn to Henley Royal Regatta, which begins in a weeks’ time. Team WinTech and King are supporting a range of crews over the course of the week, including both hot domestic and international prospects. We are so excited to see how the climax of the UK racing season unfolds and look forward to supporting athletes and clubs in achieving their ambitions.
