Scullers Head of the River 2026
WinTech scullers produced a strong set of results at the 2026 Scullers Head, with podium finishes and top-five appearances spread across the men's and women's programmes, from the open championship and junior events through to masters and novice categories. With wins in five separate events and WinTech hulls featuring in the top five of 12 categories in total, it was a productive day on the Tideway for Team WinTech.
The standout result of the day came in the Open Apprentice Single Sculls, where Jack Finelli of Watermen, The Company of, won the event outright in a WinTech hull. In the Open J16 Single Sculls, Patrick Hayes of Royal Grammar School High Wycombe won in WinTech, with fellow WinTech sculler Oliver Kelley of Star Club taking fifth in the same event. Harry Shaw of Shiplake College finished third in the Open J17 Single Sculls in WinTech.

In the championship men's events, Louis Powell of London Rowing Club finished fifth in the Open Championship Single Sculls in WinTech. Harvey Orskov of City of Cambridge Rowing Club took fifth in the Open U23 Single Sculls, Jeffrey Watling of Southsea Rowing Club finished fourth in the Open Masters IJK Single Sculls, and Simon Nevitt of Shanklin Sandown Rowing Club fifth in the Open Masters Novice Single Sculls.
The women's events were particularly productive for WinTech. Laura Bates of London Rowing Club won the Women's Lightweight Single Sculls in WinTech. In the Women's Club Single Sculls, Kaila Engelsman of Mortlake Anglian & Alpha Boat Club won the event in WinTech, with Friederike Tietz and Lotte Knighton, both of Lea Rowing Club, finishing fourth and fifth respectively, three WinTech scullers in the top five of the same event. In the Women's Novice Single Sculls, Lulah Lyons and Anna Silver, again both of Lea Rowing Club, finished third and fourth in WinTech.

In the Women's J16 Single Sculls, Connie Batley-Smith of Shanklin Sandown Rowing Club finished second in WinTech and Dulcie Pendred of Tideway Scullers School third, also in WinTech. In the masters women's events, Teresa Kwiecinska of Lea Rowing Club won the Women's Masters D Single Sculls in WinTech with Anna Ramsden of Mortlake Anglian & Alpha Boat Club second, a WinTech 1-2 in the masters women's category. Penny Rushby of Furnivall Sculling Club finished third in the Women's Masters AB Single Sculls in WinTech, and Debbie Thompson of Upton Rowing Club fifth in the Women's Masters C Single Sculls. In the Women's Masters Lightweight Single Sculls, K Cawley of Newark Rowing Club finished third in WinTech and Taran Blyth of Poplar Blackwall & District Rowing Club fifth, also in WinTech.

From junior boys' gold to masters women's top-five finishes, and from championship appearances to club-category wins, WinTech's results at the 2026 Scullers Head reflected the breadth of programmes and athletes who continue to place their confidence in WinTech equipment.
