I have been using mirrors like this one for thirty years. The technology has not changed. I think scullers need a rear vision camera like my car has.

I have used a mirror for many years. The latest one, a WinTeck, works quite well. The velcro is good, the band is just thick and long enough and the mirror moves with just the right reluctance.
work well, but perhaps there might be a different approach to locking the vertical post at one or more levels. Aligning the vertical post and inserting the pin at the selected level can be awkward when standing in water next to boat as boat moves with water or in reaction to attempts to insert pin while setting post at proper level. Some sort of quick clamp, while a little more complex, might be better. Even with the boat in a sling (not in the water) the post setting and pin insertion process is a bit awkward. Thanks for asking, Ted
